“Every common protein from any source comes with an asterisk next to it. Animal protein tastes good but is not sustainable. Alternative proteins such as soy proteins are inexpensive, have a good nutritional profile and great functionality but have allergens, estrogen, and lack the taste of animal-based proteins. Pea-based proteins do not generate these health concerns but are expensive, lack nutritional values and generate significant off flavors.
